IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) is an organization that hold competitions that are self defense oriented. This is a great place to meet new friends and expose areas that you need to practice and train.
There are several local clubs that put on matches monthly. Douglas County Firearms, 5280, Arvada Rifle and Pistol Club, and Ben Lomond Gun Club – I am the Match Director of the BLGC IDPA club.
